Geoffrey was the son of Colonel Maurice and Florence Moore of Westburn, Sunderland. He attended Armstrong College and gained a BSc. Geoffrey was killed when flying an Airco BH4 Bomber, which crash-landed near Mudros Aerodrome, Limnos, Greece. He died on 26th February 1918 aged 23.
Geoffrey is buried in the East Mudros Military Cemetery, Limnos, Greece.
