Kenneth was the only son of Lawrence and Lucy F. Shann of Farnham, Knaresborough. Kenneth was killed in action at Friezenburgh near St Julien on 8th May 1915 aged 20.
Kenneth is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial in West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
Kenneth and his friend Richard Carrington Bethell are commemorated on a plaque in St Andrew's Parish Church, Farnham.
